Anouk to Paris

CNRS support for semantics and acquisition at the LaPsyDE.

Congratulations to alumna Anouk Dieuleveut, who has won support from the CNRS, France's National Center for Scientific Research, to pursue her research at the Laboratory for the Psychology of Child Development and Education within the Université Paris Cité, working with Associate Professor Alex de Carvalho, a former long-term visitor at Maryland in 2015. 

The new post begins this Fall. Most recently Anouk has been at a three-year postdoctoral position in the Department of Linguistics at the University of Geneva, working with Isabelle Charnavel on a project on indexical binding, among other projects. Before this she was on a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at the Laboratoire de Linguistique Formelle in Paris, working on the acquisition of modals in French, with funding by the Fyssen Fondation. This followed the line of her 2021 dissertation, "Finding Modal Force," chaired by Valentine and Alexander.
