Linguistics | Philosophy Thursday, October 5, 2023 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm H.J. Patterson Hall, 2130

Thursday October 5, the LSC's Language Science Lunch Talk series invites Philosophy's Fabrizio Cariani to reflect on the trajectory of his work in the philosophy of language and the semantics of modal auxiliaries, as part of its "Upon Reflection" series this semester.  Specifically, Fabrizio's talk will trace trajectories that emerge from his 2013 paper “Deliberative Modality Under Epistemic Uncertainty,” co-authored with Magda and Stefan Kaufmann, identifying some topics that have exercised the subsequent literature following it, as well as some that have not, but should.
