August 1-5, the Department of Language Science at UC Irvine hosts a Summer School on Computational Cognitive Modeling for Language, featuring a triumvirate of Maryland alums: Lisa Pearl *07 (Professor, Language Science, Irvine), Allyson Ettinger *18 (Assistant Professor, Linguistics, Chicago), and Laurel Perkins *19 (Assistant Professor, Linguistics, UCLA). The three speak together at a panel on Wednesday, with Allyson and Laurel also presenting talks on their own research on Thursday and Friday.
