Assistant Professor Rodrigo Ranero!

Rodrigo to Department of Spanish & Portuguese at UCLA.

Huge congratulations to alum Rodrigo Ranero *21, who has accepted an offer from UCLA to be Assistant Professor in its Department of Spanish and Portuguese, starting on July 1, teaching courses in linguistics. This makes Rodrigo our third alum on the faculty at UCLA, where he joins Laurel Perkins *19 and Tim Hunter *10. At UMD Rodrigo had supervisors Maria Polinsky and Omer Preminger, and wrote his dissertation on "Identity Conditions on Ellipsis".
