Colin to Oxford

New Chair of Linguistics.

Congratulations to Colin Phillips, who from January 2024 is to be Professor and Chair of Linguistics in the Faculty of Linguistics, Philology and Phonetics at Oxford University – the newest department at the world's second oldest university. Colin will maintain a position at Maryland, and continue to work with graduate students, spending about a quarter of his time here in the interstices of the terms at his alma mater and new home.
