On clause-internal wh-words in Valdôtian Patois

September 14-16, Luisa Seguin was in Naples, Italy, at the 16th Cambridge Italian Dialects Syntax and Morphology Meeting, presenting an analysis of "Clause internal wh-words and the Low Left Periphery of Valdôtain Patois," and its consequences for theories of clause structure in Romance, where the placement of focus and wh-words is subject to interesting constraints. Valdotain Patois is a variety of Franco-Provençal spoken in the Aosta Valley of Italy.
