Quantified partitives by PP-extraposition and NP-deletion.

Congratulations to Mal Shah, who now has a paper in Linguistic Inquiry: "Quantified Partitives Are Derived By Extraposition Plus NP-Deletion." A refinement of Mal's 888, the article concerns the analysis of phrases like "some of the tofu", and argues that it is [ [ some tofu tk ] [ of the tofu ]k ], with extraposition of the partitive PP and deletion of the noun head.
