June 10-12, the University of Pennsylvania hosts the fourth instance of ELM, a conference for experimental semantics and pragmatics, featuring two leaders in the area, our own Ellen Lau and Valentine Hacquard. Ellen is one of three keynote speakers, and Valentine is one of three invited to lead a symposium on modality. Joining them with poster presentations are Victor Chamot, Elizabeth Swanson, Allison Dods and Sarah Boukendour, together with Will Zumchak and Utku Turk, plus Jeff and Alexander, as collaborators. Also with work at the conference are a number of alumni, including Anouk Dieuleveut *21, Tyler Knowlton *21 , Aaron White *15, Alexis Wellwood *14 and Utako Minai *06.
