On connectives, exceptives and counterfactuals
May 28-30, the 34th SALT is up at Rochester, home to alum Aaron Steven White *15, with three posters featuring Maryland talent: Elizabeth, Aron and Paolo:
- Elizabeth Swanson, Hugh Rabagliati and Alex de Carvalho / Real-time comprehension of connectives by preschool children and adults
- Andreea Nicolae, Aron Hirsch, Anamaria Fălăuş / Exceptives under negation: Strengthening the case for p-Exh
- Paolo Santorio / Time-relative counterfactuality: Future-less-vivid conditionals and the modal past
In addition the conference has a workshop "Spotlighting sign languages in semantics," organized in part by Jéssica Mendes as a member of the SALT Equity and Diversity Committee.
