Summer school happening online with seven Terrapin faculty.

June 30-July 15, the New York - St Petersburg Institute, happening for the fifth time virtually, has seven Terps on its faculty, teaching courses in syntax, phonology, psycholinguistics and field work. Maša Bešlin and recent alum Paulina Lyskawa *21 are leading an Introduction to Syntax; Polina Pleshak and Maria Polinsky are teaching Linguist and Native Speaker; postdoc Alex Chabot has a course on Phonology, Cognition, the Real World and their Places, co-taught with the Université Côte d'Azur's Tobias Scheer; and alumni classmates Nina Kazanina *05 and John Drury *05 discuss Topics in Sentence Processing, alongside Gert-Jan Schoenmakers from Radboud University.  A joint project of Stony Brook University and Herzen State Pedagogical University, the Institute was held every summer in St. Petersburg from 2003 till 2019. When the pandemic hit in 2020, it moved online and has remained there since.
