On the nature of heritage languages.

The final week of September, Maria Polinsky was in the eastern Mediterranean, giving two talks on Heritage Linguistics. One was in Cyprus, on September 24 at Heritage Languages and Variation, a meeting supported by grants to alum Kleanthes K. Grohmann *00. There Masha gave a plenary address titled "Impossible to forget: Motivating some recurrent properties of heritage languages." The other was in Israel, on September 28 at Bar-Ilan University, in the lab of Natalia Meir, where Masha discussed "What makes things difficult: Some hows and whys of heritage languages."
