Masha inducted into Norwegian Academy

Maria Polinsky has been elected to the Norwegian Academy of Science.
Congratulations to Maria Polinsky, who has been elected to Det Norske Videnskaps-Akademi, or The Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters. Masha is one of 158 foreign members of the 400 member Division of Humanities and Social Science, which includes alum Terje Lohndal among its linguists under 70 #Philology,_linguistics). The honorary president of the Academy is Olympic sailor King Harald V of Norway, but Masha received the good news from its Secretary General, Øystein Hov, an atmospheric scientist specializing in pollution who was formerly research director at the Meterological Institute.
