October 20, Maria Polinsky is in Taipei, Taiwan, to deliver a keynote address on "Structural parallels between endangered and heritage languages," at the 4th Academica Sinica Linguistics Forum, organized by Lin Ro-wang. The, on Halloween, Masha is the Academica Sinica's Institute of Linguistics, separately from the Forum, to deliver a talk on "Exceptive Constructions: Syntax and cross-linguistic differences," reporting on her NSF-funded project.
