Assistant Professor of Linguistics at the University of Oregon.

Huge congratulations to Nika Jurov, who is to be Assistant Professor of Linguistics at the University of Oregon in September 2025, after one year as postdoc with Jochen Triesch at the Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies, extending her own dissertation research and also studying mechanisms of attention in bat audition. On July 10 Nika will defend her dissertation on "Modeling Adaptability Mechanisms of Speech Perception," co-chaired by co-advisors Naomi Feldman and Bill Idsardi, together with Ellen Lau, former postdoc Thomas Schatz, and Jonathan Simon from Electrical Engineering. We will be waving in celebration as our future Duck fledges!
