Now out in the proceedings of WAFL, Preminger & Kornfilt's "Nominative as no case at all: An argument from raising-to-ACC in Sakha". The paper presents a new argument for the view that "unmarked case" on a noun phrase represents the absence of any value on its case feature, based on raising-to-accusative constructionsin Sakha, a Turkic language of Siberia.
