Omer Preminger's “
Case in Sakha: are two modalities really necessary?", co-authored with
Theodore Levin. The paper argues against the 2010 claim from Baker & Vinokurva that Sakha, a Siberian Turkic language, requires two modes of case assignment, both by configurational rules and by functional heads, and shows that rules of the former sort are sufficient.
