Paul to give first Higginbotham Lecture at USC

November 7, USC honors the late
Jim Higginbotham with the first lecture in a biennial series,
Paul Pietroski on "Form and Composition." In this talk Paul compares Higginbotham's view of semantics to those represented by Heim and Kratzer, on the one hand, and Polly Jacobson, on the other. The Higginbotham Lectures are hosted jointly by the departments of
Linguistics and
Philosophy.
