Philip on advisory board of initiative for proper use of data

Philip Resnik has been appointed to the Science and Technology Advisory Board of the Coleridge Insititute, a nonprofit organization – established at NYU in 2016 by Julia Lane with Rayid GhaniRobert Goerge and Frauke Kreuter, and now partnering with several universities – that "works with government agencies to ensure that data used in the public decision-making process is managed effectively and appropriately." Philip will contribute to this effort his expertise on extracting information from unstructured linguistic texts, using the techniques of machine learning and statistical NLP.
