Congratulations to recent graduate Polina Pleshak *25, who now begins a postdoctoral position at the Hungarian Research Centre for Linguistics to work with Tamás Halm on his project concerning "Radically Truncated Clauses".

This past October, Polina defended her PhD Thesis, "Diagnosing small nominals: Theoretical implications from Moksha and Hill Mari", to a committee of Howard Lasnik, Jeff Lidz, Eric Potsdam, Paolo Santorio and, as Chair, Maria Polinsky. Moksha and Hill Mari are Uralic languages, genetic cousins to Hungarian, which Polina will now have the chance to speak every day. Sok sikert, Polina!
