Rachel Dudley presents an invited talk at "
The Geography of Philosophy: Knowledge, Person, and Wisdom," a symposium organized by
Stephen Stich (Rutgers, Philosophy),
Clark Barrett (UCLA, Anthropology), and
Edouard Machery (Pittsburgh, Philosophy). Rachel, the only pre-doctoral speaker invited, will be discussing
her work on how children come to understand the presuppositions associated with the use of "know", as opposed to "think". The talk is "Acquiring
know and its factivity."
