Say hey to Dave Embick

Visiting for a semester to talk about syntax, morphology and brains.

If you see the guy in the photo, say hello: it's Dave Embick, and he will be spending some time with us throughout this semester, usually on Thursdays and Fridays, roughly every other week. Dave is Professor of Linguistics at the University of Pennsylvania, and this semester he is on leave after a spell as Department Chair. No better way to relax, he has decided, than to spend time with us talking about syntax, morphology, argument structure and neurolinguistics, using Valentine's office to have meetings with whoever is up for one. There's a little something for everybody in Dave's gamut of research topics, so don't hesitate to talk with him.
