Endless possibilities in child language.

April 20, Valentine Hacquard has two talks in Berlin, Germany: "Endless possibilities in child language," at the Leibniz Center for General Linguistics (ZAS), and "Methods for studying modality in language acquisition" at Humboldt University's Workshop on Modality in Underdescribed Languages, with NYU's AilĂs Cournane. Humboldt University was founded in 1809 by Humboldt (the linguist), Fichte (the philosopher), and Schleiermacher (the theologian), making it the perfect setting for a workshop on the human expression of necessity, and for a talk on why kids take time to figure it out.
