Visiting doctoral student from Geneva.

Say hello to David Müller! Originally from Bavaria, David is a PhD student on the other side of the Bodensee at the the University of Geneva, working in semantics and pragmatics. One recent project of his, presented at Sinn und Bedeutung 29 and elsewhere, is on (the German versions of) sentences like "Alexander prepared extensive notes for the orientation only to leave them in his office." He has also worked with Marylanders Anouk Dieuleveut *21 (Paris, LaPsyDÉ) and Victor Chamot, in projects presented at SALT35 in Cambridge and at ELM4 in Philadelphia. Now he joins us for the Fall semester to learn more of our testudine ways, under the sponsorship of Aron Hirsch. September 1-4 David was with Aron in Nantes at Sinn und Bedeutung 31, where Aron gave a keynote address.
